Abstract

This paper aims to present a case of art activity design for contemporary art at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) in hopes that it will benefit educational work of other art museums or galleries. The methodology encompasses studying, analyzing, comparing with Post-Modern Arts Education concept. Contemporary art is a creation with the influence of globalization, embodying cultural diversity and technological advancement. Therefore, it is a diverse combination of materials, methods, and concepts which could make contemporary art challenging to understand. As a result, education has become instrumental in providing knowledge and understanding, particularly art education programs at art museums and galleries. Hence, these art institutions do not only allow visits to their art collections but their roles also involve communication, conveying ideas and providing education to their audiences in variety of ways which support the development of creative thinking for the public.
